The All Progressives Congress (APC) Enugu State Chapter is a dynamic political platform committed to progressive governance, grassroots mobilization, and the total transformation of Enugu State. Our chapter is part of Nigeria’s leading political party, championing democratic ideals, equity, and purposeful leadership across all levels of governance.

We serve as the voice of the people in Enugu State advocating for economic development, institutional reforms, youth empowerment, and social justice. Our structure is anchored in inclusiveness, transparency, and accountability, guided by the constitution and principles of the national APC.

Our Structure

The APC Enugu Chapter operates through a well-structured network of Local Government Area (LGA) Coordinators, Ward Executives, and Polling Unit Mobilizers. These structures ensure that our message reaches every voter and that the will of the people is represented at all levels.

1. State Executive Committee (SEC)

The apex decision-making body of the APC in Enugu State, responsible for:

  • Implementing party policies and programs within the state.

  • Coordinating party activities across all Local Government Areas (LGAs).

  • Supervising internal elections, primaries, and disciplinary processes.

  • Managing communications, campaigns, legal matters, and party affairs.

Key Members Include:

  • State Chairman

  • State Secretary

  • State Publicity Secretary

  • State Women Leader

  • State Youth Leader

  • Organizing Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Legal Adviser

2. Zonal Structures

The party is strategically organized into senatorial zones:

  • Enugu East

  • Enugu West

  • Enugu North

Each zone has Zonal Coordinators and Mobilization Teams tasked with:

  • Coordinating party efforts at the zonal level.

  • Bridging communication between the State Executive and LGA leaders.

  • Hosting zonal congresses and political outreach.

3. Local Government Area (LGA) Chapters

Each of the 17 LGAs in Enugu State has its own LGA Party Executive led by:

  • LGA Chairman

  • LGA Secretary

  • Women & Youth Leaders

  • Ward Coordinators
    They are responsible for:

  • Organizing grassroots campaigns and membership drives.

  • Coordinating ward and polling unit structures.

  • Mobilizing local resources for party programs.

4. Ward Executives

Enugu has over 260 political wards. Each ward has a functional Ward Executive Committee:

  • Ward Chairman

  • Ward Secretary

  • Mobilization Officer

  • Women & Youth Representatives
    This is the most influential tier in voter engagement, election-day coordination, and local feedback gathering.

5. Polling Unit Agents & Grassroots Mobilizers

At the most granular level, each polling unit is assigned party agents and volunteers who:

  • Engage directly with voters.

  • Monitor electoral processes.

  • Provide real-time updates during elections.

  • Mobilize for registration, PVC collection, and voter education.

6. Support Units & Directorates

Specialized directorates and units exist within the structure to handle areas such as:

  • Media & Publicity

  • Legal & Electoral Affairs

  • Welfare & Conflict Resolution

  • Women and Youth Empowerment

  • Research, Strategy & Policy Development
